Ameera Jet

The foundations of Ameera Sailing Team were laid in 2004 by a group of family members and close friends who shared a passion for sailing. Since its establishment, Ameera’s greatest strength has been its sincerity, trust, and long-standing team cohesion.

Starting from 2010, instead of handicap racing systems, the team shifted its focus to one-design classes, where performance is determined more by tactics and teamwork. During this period, Ameera participated in numerous national and international races across the Mediterranean and beyond with boats such as the Melges 20, Melges 24, Melges 32, and J70, successfully representing our country.

Ameera Sailing Team has not only been a competitive racing team but has also played a pioneering role in the development of one-design culture in Türkiye. In 2016, it took the lead in establishing the J70 class in Türkiye and, over the years, organized numerous J70 races.

Although more than 150 sailors have raced under the Ameera banner to date, the team has always preferred to compete with close-knit groups of friends, maintaining the same spirit and discipline. This approach has made Ameera not only a competitive team but also a strong sailing family.
