MELİKE AŞÇI TRIMMER
Melike Aşçı’s journey in water sports began with the Galatasaray Rowing Team. After an injury sustained during her rowing career, her search for a new discipline to continue her connection with sport led her to sailing. This new chapter started in 2004 at Istanbul Sailing Club and gradually became an indispensable part of her life.
Melike achieved national podium finishes in the 420 and 470 classes and represented Türkiye at the European Championship in the 470 class. Continuing to develop herself across different classes, she expanded her experience by racing not only in centreboard boats but also with various teams in Platu 25, Dragon, and keelboat competitions.
As of 2025, she joined the Eker Women’s Team in the J70 class. Alongside keelboat racing, she continues her sailing career as a member of the Eker Team.
A graduate of Galatasaray University Faculty of Communication, Melike deepened her interest in sports management through a Master’s degree in Sports Management at Bahçeşehir University and the FIFA–CIES Sports Management Program.
She began her professional career at DenizBank and later continued by managing communication processes for major brands at national and international creative advertising agencies. Today, she works as a Brand Strategist at Şişecam.
