ARDA BAYKAL TRIMMER
Baykal began his sailing career in 1988 at Fenerbahçe Sports Club. At just 12 years old, he wore the national colors for the first time, representing his country on the international stage.
At age 14, he placed 16th in the Optimist European Championship held in Turkey, achieving one of the best results for a Turkish sailor at that time. Building on this success, Baykal continued to improve and became the Turkish Champion in the Optimist class in 1995.
He continued competing actively in the 470 class until moving to the United States for his education, further developing his technical skills and racing experience.
From 2008 onward, Baykal focused on the Dragon class, competing in numerous international events. One of his career highlights includes winning the silver medal with Team Provezza at the 2022 Dragon World Championship in Germany, marking a notable achievement on the global stage.
