Doğa Arıbaş

DOĞA ARIBAŞ MAIN SAIL

Arıbaş began her sailing journey in 2008 at the age of 13 at Istanbul Sailing Club. She quickly demonstrated her talent and was selected for the national team, winning the European Championship title at the 2012 Laser 4.7 European Championship as a national team athlete.

After gaining experience in various racing boats beyond Laser 4.7, Arıbaş moved into foiling boats and achieved significant success in this discipline. Her exceptional performance in sailing led her to become the Red Bull Foiling Generation Turkey Champion and represent Turkey at the World Finals. In 2016, she secured 3rd place in the Laser Radial European Championship, further establishing her international recognition.

During her university years, she led the Bilgi Sailing Team to major victories, including the National Sport Boat Championship. She then joined the young squad of Eker Sailing Team, competing professionally in keelboats. She participated in international events in the Melges 32 Series and the J/70 class.

Over time, Arıbaş took on the tactician role and achieved an impressive 3rd place overall at the J/70 Europeans 2022, contributing to the Corinthian Championship in the same event. That year, she also helped Eker Sailing Team secure the J/70 Turkey Tour Championship and National Championship. Additionally, in 2020, the team won first place in the Corinthian category at the J/70 Winter Series in Miami, adding another international achievement to their record.

Arıbaş is the founder of Istanbul-based Doğa Arıbaş Sailing. She continues to compete professionally in sport and keelboats, and at the age of 27, led an entirely amateur team to victory at the prestigious Bosphorus Cup 2022, further demonstrating her leadership and team management skills.
