CHEESE SAILING
MEHMET DURAN DİNÇ TRIMMER
He began sailing in 2009 with the Galatasaray Sailing Team. After achieving multiple top-five finishes in the Optimist class, he moved on to the Laser class following the Balkan Championship. After winning his first Turkish Championship in Laser 4.7, he went on to take first place at the Laser Europa Cup U18. He placed 15th at the Laser Radial Youth European Championship and 20th at the World Championship. Following these achievements, he was named “Young Athlete of the Year” in 2015.
He also claimed numerous titles in the Laser Standard class and received awards for Young Athlete of the Year as well as Athlete of the Year. Between 2010 and 2020, he served continuously on the national team.
In 2021, he joined the Cheese Sailing team. While continuing his software career, he also remains actively involved in racing with competitive teams.
