19 May 2024A Demanding Four-Day Battle on the Ayvalık–Alibey Island Racecourse
The races, held between 10–13 October and spanning four days, concluded with a total of 11 races sailed on courses set between Ayvalık and Alibey Island. Over the first two days, sailors competed in a total of six races in winds of 8–10 knots. On the third day, light air conditions of up to 5 knots limited racing to two races—one sailed on a standard course and the other on a shortened course. On the final day of racing, the extremely close points among the teams heightened the excitement, with winds blowing between 13 and 15 knots.

The 4th Leg Turkish Championship races, hosted by Setur Marinas Ayvalık and the Ayvalık Sailing Club, were conducted under the leadership of Chief Race Officer Duran İzgi. The race committee also included international officials such as Neven Baran, Jules Tronquet, and Paul Schilizzi, while pre-race boat measurements were carried out by Thomas Loesch.
At Setur Marina, the prize-giving ceremony was held with the participation of Ayvalık District Governor Hasan Yaman, Garrison Commander Personnel Colonel Hüseyin Aydın, Ayvalık Mayor Mesut Ergin, and Lieutenant Berk Bolcan from the Ayvalık Coast Guard Command, during which the trophies were presented to their rightful owners.

After four full days of action-packed racing that created a spectacular atmosphere in Ayvalık, the results of this trophy leg were as follows:
